In today’s fast-paced society, we humans often neglect the valuable use of eye to eye contact. As a child, my parents and teachers taught me to make eye contact and to shake hands firmly. Later in leadership training, in a large communications corporation, my employers presented these gems of communications as necessary if one was to make continuous advancements and promotions. Parents used to demand we look them in the eye when they spoke to us, and when we communicated with others. Besides expressing engagement and assertiveness, this practice proved to enhance interpersonal relationships in general. In light of a desire to experience a closer relationship with Jesus, it may help to see (looking straight at) the real benefit of His sacrifice at calvary. By His death and resurrection, we are set free from sin and death. His blood covers us. His resurrection gives us hope for eternal life. God does not judge us according to our self-made or man-made righteousness. (Romans 10:1-6) Jesus has covered us with His righteousness. Some Christians stay away from the Church because they believe they are not good enough and express that they will come when they stop doing this or that. During His three-year ministry, Jesus saved thousands. During the Acts of the Apostles, thousands were saved daily. They were sinners of all sorts and with all sorts of life-styles. Paul described these sins and the sinners who committed them as “Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like” (Galatians 5:19-21). Even murderers! The Apostle said also in 1 Timothy 1:9-11, “Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.”They came as they were, to the Church and to the Owner of the Church (Jesus Christ) and then - they confessed, repented, believed, were forgiven, saved, converted, justified, reconciled (in whatever order of progression), they were saved and made clean, but they came as sinners needing redemption, a closer walk with the Lord. Jesus said of Himself that He came to heal and save those who need to be saved; not those who are already saved: “The Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” (Luke 4:18) Furthermore, making this same point, He said, “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.” (Matthew 9:12). Gain a closer walk with God by looking straight at the Gospel Truth: Jesus has already paid it all for our redemption. We can come to Church just as we are. Jesus’s blood washed us white as snow (Psalm 51:7). The apostle Paul gave this confession: “And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.” (1 Timothy 1:12-16) Simply put and in conclusion, Paul testifies that he came to Jesus while he was persecuting the church, but Jesus, through His never ending grace and mercy, did not turn Paul away. Instead He converted Him on a road called Damascus, and used him as an example for others who might follow him (Paul). (Acts 9:5-9). Fellowship with other believers, especially in the Church is a commandment and why? Because we rejuvenate one anorter, just like in any corporate meeting of people seeking the same end. We are seeking a closer walk with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Holistic Ministries Inc. hopes to fellowship with you. We hope you will join us very soon to worship, fellowship, and learn of the goodness of Jesus. We believe salvation is an individual journey and that God’s people perish for a lack of knowledge. Jesus came to set us free; His burden is light and His yoke is easy. He already paid the cost for our salvation - when you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that He is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, then you are saved! (Romans 10:9)
